| Wranglers Snatch Late-Game, 6-5 Win | The Dallas Wranglers faced a tough opponent in Milwaukee pitcher Tex Cavanaugh, but found a way to pull out the victory at Norris Stadium by a final score of 6-5 in 10 innings. Cavanaugh went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs. With the win over Milwaukee, the Wranglers improved to 67-53.
The Wranglers nabbed the win, in part because of catcher John Miller. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered the game-winning run-scoring single.
"You work hard, day in and day out, hoping to give the fans something to cheer about. Today was a good day," Miller told the Dallas Times. | |
