| Wranglers Solve Saints, 6-5 | Led by Ray Hughes, the Dallas Wranglers downed the Montreal Saints, 6-5. Hughes was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Wranglers. The 9th-place Wranglers improved to 34-49.
Had Hilly Westbrook not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Westbrook hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Wranglers.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Montreal manager Lynn Gray. "The effort was great."
