| Miller Fashions Shutout Against Pioneers | Al Miller pitched a strong game at Whitney Park today, blanking the St. Louis Pioneers 2-0. Miller allowed no runs on 4 hits, totaled 7 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks.
Chicago manager Joe Ward said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Miller.
"Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Ward said. "He threw a lot of strikes."
