Clippers Claim 7-3 Triumph
The Baltimore Clippers knocked off the Los Angeles Suns, 7-3, in Federal Association action at Patapsco Field. Baltimore pitcher and Great Falls, Montana, native Joe McDowell had an outstanding performance. The win makes Baltimore 63-57.

McDowell had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth to put Baltimore in front, 4-2. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run off Los Angeles pitcher Jim Place.

"I may have one foot in the grave," said McDowell. "But I can still help this team win."
