| Long Helps Minutemen Defeat Suns, 7-2 | The 7-2 Boston win over Los Angeles was due largely to Vin Long. The Minutemen center fielder went 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Johnny Baylor, the winner, is now 10-7. He struck out 2 and walked 1 over 8.1 innings, while allowing 2 runs on 7 hits. The Minutemen saw their record improve to 67-51.
Early in the game, Long had a 3-run home run for Boston. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Minutemen on top, 3-0.
