San Francisco Triumphs with Late Surge
Led by Chet Harris, the San Francisco Sailors defeated the Cleveland Foresters, 8-3, in 10 innings. Harris went 2-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Sailors. Davey Chamberlain came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 6-7. San Francisco is 84-63 and Cleveland, with the loss, 85-63.

San Francisco used the timely hitting of Ray Rogan to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Sailors on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Feels good to get the job done," Harris said after the game.
