Rutherford, the winner, moves to 5-6. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 6 walks. Seattle has now lost 4 consecutive games.
Cleveland catcher Reggie Anderson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 125th hit of the season and put the Foresters ahead, 3-0.
