Chicago catcher Chappy Sanders had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the New York Imperials, 7-2. New York has now lost 4 straight.

Chicago used the timely hitting of Larry Curtis to capture the win. The right fielder socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cougars ahead, 5-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.
