The Kansas City Mavericks handed the Toronto Wolves a 6-5 loss in 19 innings at Mavericks Stadium. Dick Anderson was the star on offense. He was 3-7 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Kansas City reliever Nelson Roderick got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Harry Street was tagged with the loss. Kansas City is now 50-70, Toronto 49-67.

The Mavericks got a clutch hit from shortstop Bob Howard. In the bottom of the 19th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Mavericks.
