Eddie Martin, who is tied for 7th in the CA in innings pitched with 215.0, had a strong outing for the Montreal Saints against the Toronto Wolves at Dominion Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Bob Nelson got the save, his 3rd in 7 chances. The win has Montreal at 56-89.

Montreal used the bat of Andy Gilman to get the win. The first baseman hit a changeup from Bob Brown out of the park for a 3-run home run. The blast came in the top of the first inning and put the Saints on top, 3-0. It was Gilman's lone hit, but it left a mark.

"I was able to fill up the zone," said Martin.
