| Eagles Need Extra Frames to Get Past Chiefs | Washington first baseman Virgil Belisle had a 3-RBI game, which proved instrumental to his team beating the Chicago Chiefs, 3-1. Belisle picked up 3 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. Reliever Don Eddy picked up the win. His record improves to 5-11. Frank Carmichael, who is tied for 2nd in the FA in holds with 11, took the loss. Earl Frazier, credited with the save, is now 9 for 16 in save opportunities.
