| Chiefs Drop Clippers, 5-0 | The exploits of left fielder Joe Siniscalchi, who finished 3rd in the FA in runs with 97 in 1967, helped the Chicago Chiefs defeat the Baltimore Clippers, 5-0. Siniscalchi went 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Nate Carr, who went 6.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record now stands at 8-8. The 5th-place Chiefs go to 47-71.
In the bottom of the first, Siniscalchi had a 2-run home run for Chicago. It was his 21st home run of the season and put the Chiefs on top, 2-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Siniscalchi.
