Led by Earl Frazee, the San Francisco Sailors downed the New York Imperials, 8-5. Frazee went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Sailors. Eli Kershaw earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-0. The Sailors are now 52-65.

In the top of the ninth, Frazee hit a tie-breaking 3-run home run to help the Sailors capture the win.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Frazee, "one at-bat at a time."
