Cougars Win at Cleveland, 6-3
The Chicago Cougars took on the Cleveland Foresters at Forester Stadium.

Chicago beat Cleveland on the strength of starting pitcher John Mitchell's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-3. Mitchell, now 7-3, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing 3 runs. Pug White was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.

Chicago used a timely hit from Gene Case to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Cougars ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

Case said afterward that "winning is what it's all about."

Chicago currently is in 6th place in the Continental Association at 71-74.
