| Wranglers Down Foresters, 6-2 | The Dallas Wranglers got a marvelous performance from pitcher Larry Perry. The right-hander kept the Cleveland offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 6-2 Dallas victory at Norris Stadium. The winning pitcher was Perry, now 9-10. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. Jack Mead earned save number 7 this season.
John Miller, the 13th overall pick in the 1969 draft, came through for Dallas with a 2-run double in the bottom of the sixth. The catcher went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 RBI.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Dallas manager Vic Kramer.
