| Dynamos Taken Down, 6-3, by Boston | The Boston Minutemen racked up a win at Minuteman Stadium, bumping off the Detroit Dynamos, 6-3. Ken West, who started for Boston, pitched effectively for his team. The winning pitcher was West, now 6-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 7. The Minutemen win now puts them at 66-50.
The Minutemen got an important contribution from third baseman Adam Byrd, who in the bottom of the first hit a cutter to center for a 2-run double. It was his 5th double of the season and put the Minutemen ahead, 3-0.
"You look inside of the game, it's just quality approach after quality approach," said Minutemen manager Dode Edwards.
