| Millers Deal Baltimore 7-1 Defeat | The Baltimore Clippers had to reckon with Minneapolis Millers hurler Hank Wagner. Wagner, who is tied for 4th in the FA in innings pitched with 179.0, overwhelmed the opposition in the 7-1 Millers triumph. The Millers go to 57-58, putting them 5th in the Federal Association West.
Clyde Allen, who leads the FA in doubles with 32, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Minneapolis first baseman hit a run-scoring single. That put the Millers in front, 1-0.
"Hank was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Minneapolis manager Bill Bryan.
