Cincinnati Cannons starter Hal Adams was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Toronto Wolves, 5-1. The Cannons sit in 4th place in the Continental Association with a record of 75-68.

In the top of the fifth, with Cincinnati leading 1-0, right fielder Fred Lainhart hit a 2-run single. The hit came off Hank Lacey and put the Cannons ahead, 3-0.

In postgame comments to the Cincinnati Times, Lainhart said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
