| Millers Bump Off Clippers, 10-5 | The Minneapolis Millers beat the Baltimore Clippers, 10-5, at Hennepin County Stadium. The win was due in part to left fielder Bill Anderson, who was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. At 53-62, Minneapolis is in 4th place in the Federal Association West.
Anderson contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Minneapolis in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Anderson took a changeup from Joe McDowell and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Millers to leap in front, 2-1.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Anderson told the Minneapolis Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."
