| Copperheads Notch 5-2 Win Versus Suns | The Atlanta Copperheads topped the Los Angeles Suns, 5-2, in Federal Association action at Wilshire Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Atlanta pitcher Harry Inge. Atlanta, at 72-43, occupies first place in the Federal Association East.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Howard Smith? The Atlanta catcher had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Copperheads on top, 5-1. For the game, Smith had 1 double and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
