Wolves Win, Williams hits 2 home runs | The Toronto Wolves grabbed a win, 4-2, over the Cleveland Foresters at Dominion Stadium. Toronto catcher Dixie Williams was 2-3 with 2 home runs and was hit by a pitch, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Phil Colantuono, who is tied for 8th in the CA in quality starts with 16, was the winner. He's now 13-9. The loser was Johnny Ogden. Earning his 1st save of the year was Bill Medley.
Williams had a timely hit for Toronto in the bottom of the eighth. With Toronto trailing 2-1, he turned a 2-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Toronto.
"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Toronto skipper Jake Beck. "It's important to have different ways to do it."
