Imperials Drop Contest, 9-2, to Kansas City
Behind an impressive start by Allie Boone, Kansas City beat New York, 9-2. The win elevated the Kings to 42-30.

Kansas City catcher Bob Burge contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 69th hit of the season and put the Kings ahead, 4-2.

"Felt great, felt really good," said Boone.
