The Baltimore Clippers soundly defeated the Minneapolis Millers, 12-0, at Hennepin County Stadium, with shortstop Amos Johnson a major reason why. He went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Baltimore. The Clippers go to 53-61, putting them second in the Federal Association East.

Baltimore used a well-timed hit by Hank Butler to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Clippers ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said Johnson after the game.
