Cleveland and San Francisco duked it out and the Foresters came out victorious.

The Cleveland Foresters cut down the San Francisco Sailors by the score of 8-5, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Stan Kleminski. Kleminski went 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Foresters. Les Hanauer earned the win for Cleveland. He lasted 7.1 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7. With the win, he raised his record to 5-6. Johnny Ogden notched his 17th save in 18 chances.

With Cleveland leading 3-2 in the bottom of the third, Kleminski hit a cutter from Zane Kelley for a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Foresters ahead, 6-2.
