Turner Lifts Sailors to 13-12 Triumph
Ron Turner knocked in 7 runs to help San Francisco beat Cincinnati, 13-12. Turner produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. With the win over Cincinnati, the Sailors improved to 80-61.

A key moment came when Turner faced Cincinnati hurler Bill Holm in the bottom of the eighth. The Sailors, who were trailing 12-11, had the bases loaded. Turner got a 1-2 fastball and hit a 2-run single.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said San Francisco manager Walt Zecher.
