The Philadelphia Keystones downed the St. Louis Pioneers, 7-5, at Liberty Coliseum. Andy Parker led the way, going 2-for-4 for Philadelphia. Philadelphia pitcher Bobby Coy got the win. He's now 6-1. Charlie Christianson was tagged with the loss.
The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Parker delivered big-time for Philadelphia, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Charlie Christianson. The game-changing hit put the Keystones on top, 7-5.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Parker.
Philadelphia is now 51-63, St. Louis 52-65.
