Minutemen Use Late Rally to Win 4th Straight
The Boston Minutemen faced a tough opponent in Chicago pitcher Vern Osborne, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Whitney Park by a final score of 6-2. Osborne went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Boston pitcher Bob Hollister got the win, upping his record to 8-10. Fred Moore got the loss. Boston sits in last place in the Federal Association at 59-82.

Boston used a clutch hit from Del Filo to capture the win. The left fielder belted a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Minutemen up, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was well-timed.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Filo told the Boston Chronicle. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
