| On Road, Millers Top Pioneers, 13-4 | Behind the bravura of shortstop Bill Barber, the Minneapolis Millers topped the St. Louis Pioneers by the score of 13-4. Barber went 2-6 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for the Millers. Joe McDowell earned the win for Minneapolis. He lasted 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 3. With the win, he raised his record to 6-7. The Millers saw their win-loss record go to 56-57. At the same time, the Pioneers fell to 52-64.
With Minneapolis leading 4-3 in the top of the second, Barber hit a changeup from Jack Cornwell for a 2-run triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Millers ahead, 6-3.
