Arrows Snag 5-2 Win
New York wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Chief Williams, falling to the Milwaukee Arrows, 5-2. Williams threw 8.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Jim Hart snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 2 innings. He's now 8-12 on the season. Milwaukee is now 62-51, New York 57-55.

Milwaukee used a timely hit from Moose Patrick to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Arrows ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

Patrick called the win "a collective effort."
