| Scott Deals Washington 4-1 Setback | Bob Scott, who is tied for 7th in the FA with a 2.96 ERA, pitched a gem in leading Boston to a 4-1 victory over the Washington Eagles. Les Snyder earned save number 4 this season. The Minutemen sport a record of 42-68.
Scott earned the win, going 8 strong innings for Boston. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 7. Washington hitters had little success against him.
"Bob did a good job mixing and matching," said Boston manager Dode Edwards.
