Suns Knock Off Comets at Dalton Domed Stadium
The Los Angeles Suns beat the Houston Comets, 3-1, at Dalton Domed Stadium. Starting pitcher Heinie Schmidt was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Ron Clark nailed down his 15th save. The Suns are now 64-51.

Los Angeles took a 3-1 lead on Bill Perry's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Perry hit in the top of the ninth, left Houston pitcher Al Bailey visibly frustrated.

Los Angeles manager Jim Coulter commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
