Los Angeles first baseman Bobby Garrison helped his team beat the Dallas Wranglers, 6-4. Garrison, who finished 4th in the CA in RBI with 100 last year, went 2 for 4 for the Stars. Jackie Thompson nailed down his 17th save. With the win, the Stars sit at 67-45.

With Los Angeles leading 3-0 in the bottom of the second, Garrison hit a 2-run single off Dallas hurler Otey Stevens. It was the 112nd hit of the season for Garrison and put his team ahead, 5-0.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Garrison. "And not try to do too much."
