Imperials Earn 5-2 Win Against Cannons
The New York Imperials dealt the Cincinnati Cannons a 5-2 loss in 13 innings at Tice Memorial Stadium II. Roxy Schilling was the star on offense. He went 2-5 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Cannons, at 52-60, have lost 6 straight games.

Schilling had a game-changing triple in the top of the 13th. On a 1-2 sinker from Moe Powell, he banged a 2-run triple to right, giving the Imperials a 4-2 lead. It was the 1st triple of the year for Schilling.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Schilling told the New York Herald.
