Foresters Defeated, 5-4, After Cincinnati Rallies
The Cincinnati Cannons managed to get by the Cleveland Foresters, 5-4, in 13 innings at Forester Stadium. Cincinnati pitcher Charlie Warren set himself apart with his performance. Hal Miller was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 4 of 5 save opportunities. The 4th-place Cannons lifted their record to 72-65.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Art McKinney came to bat in the top of the 13th. Facing Cleveland pitcher Frank Young, he hit a first pitch fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Cincinnati on top, 5-4.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," McKinney said after the game.
