| Foresters Lose to Arrows, 2-1 | The Milwaukee Arrows racked up a win at Lakefront Park, bumping off the Cleveland Foresters, 2-1. Tex Cavanaugh, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. Bud Andrews, credited with the save, is now 4 for 6 in save opportunities. The Arrows improved their record to 56-56 with the win over Cleveland.
Dennis Miller had a big solo home run for the Arrows in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Milwaukee leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a curveball from Roy Rice, who is tied for 9th in the CA with a 6.3 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Arrows on top, 2-0.
"Tex pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Milwaukee manager Randy Hendrix. | |
