| Eagles Win, 5-3, Versus Philadelphia | The umbrellas came out during the Washington-Philadelphia contest at Liberty Coliseum.
The Washington Eagles picked up a win at Liberty Coliseum, knocking off the Philadelphia Keystones, 5-3. Starting pitcher Eddie Yandow played a key role in the triumph. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Washington.
Washington won the game in part because of Jimmy Henderson. The right fielder ripped a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Eagles ahead, 5-3. For the game, Henderson had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Yandow said. | |
