Watson Leads Cougars to Win
The Chicago Cougars trumped the San Francisco Sailors, 9-7, at Cougars Park. Chicago first baseman Henry Watson was terrific. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. Arch Wilson was credited with the save for Chicago, his 3rd of the season. The 6th-place Sailors have lost 5 straight games.

In the bottom of the seventh, Watson put his team in front with his 13th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which came against George Fuller, made it 5-4, Chicago.

"No time for flexing," said Watson. "It's always one game at a time."
