Cougars Rocked By Kings, 10-1 | The Kansas City Kings reigned over the Chicago Cougars in damp conditions.
A 5-RBI performance from the 37-year old second baseman Al Farmer helped the Kansas City Kings beat the Chicago Cougars, 10-1. The winning pitcher was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Allie Boone. He tossed 98 pitches over 7.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits.
With Kansas City leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Farmer hit a fastball from Hank Walker for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 4th triple of the season and put the Kings ahead, 4-0.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Farmer.
The first-place Kings, at 73-35, lead the Continental Association by 7 games. | |
