| Dynamos Lose to Eagles, 6-1 | The Washington Eagles defeated the Detroit Dynamos, 6-1, in Federal Association action at Columbia Stadium. Washington pitcher Jim Stewart had a standout performance. Stewart picked up the win for Washington, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 12-5. Otto Caudill earned his 8th save in 12 chances.
Alex Wilson hit a 2-run triple off Jim Norris in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Eagles in front, 2-1. Wilson had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.
