The New York Gothams racked up a win at Pioneer Field III, bumping off the St. Louis Pioneers, 6-5, in 12 innings. Clarence Reimer, who started for New York, pitched effectively for his team. Dan Charlton earned his 1st save, after closing out the game. With the victory, the Gothams record stands at 62-73.

New York used the timely hitting of Tom Brizzolara to capture the win. The catcher socked a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Gothams ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We just battled, never quit, and continued to grind out at-bats trying to create some opportunities," said New York manager Bert Carlton.
