| Keystones Defeated, 2-1 | Fans watched the Boston Minutemen and the Philadelphia Keystones fight to the finish.
The Philadelphia Keystones went down to defeat to Bob Hollister and his Boston teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Minutemen. In 7.2 innings, Hollister surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. Don Griffin earned the save, his 18th, for the Minutemen.
Hollister hit a 2-run single in the top of the second to help the Boston cause. The single, which was hit off Joe Kienle, allowed Boston to take a 2-0 lead.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Boston skipper Harry Barrell.
Boston is last in the Federal Association with a record of 55-81.
