Dallas pitcher Gene Amico did his part in helping his team beat the Chicago Cougars, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. At 25-34, Dallas is in 8th place in the Continental Association.

Earle Farmer had a big 2-run triple for the Wranglers in the bottom of the first inning. With Dallas leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from Hank Walker, who is tied for 10th in the CA in strikeouts with 54, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wranglers ahead, 4-1.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Farmer told a Dallas Chronicle reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
