Kings Need Extra Frames to Get Past Cougars
The Seattle Kings scored a tight, 4-3 win versus the Chicago Cougars at Seattle Municipal Stadium. Seattle pitcher Charlie Rushing held his own in the contest. Mike Voorhees was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Don Griffin. The first-place Kings now have a record of 67-44.

The game reached a climactic end in the bottom of the 12th. With Seattle trailing 3-2, Sam Barnes delivered the decisive blow, stroking a curveball from Don Griffin for a 2-run home run. Ballgame.
