The Montreal Saints and Toronto Wolves put on quite a show.

The Montreal Saints used a stellar performance from pitcher Jim Montgomery to throttle the Toronto offense en route to an extra-inning, 4-2 win at Dominion Stadium. The winner in relief was Jerry Duncan. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 5-3.

Montreal used a timely hit from Art Robbins to get the win. The shortstop stroked a 2-run double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Saints ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"You have to trust that what you're doing is going to produce results," said Montgomery.

The win puts Montreal at 24-36.
