Phil Terry impressed in the 6-4 New York win over Milwaukee. Terry, who is tied for 5th in the CA in home runs with 16, was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bud Pace got credit for the save for New York. It was his 5th of the year. The 60-51 Imperials lead the Continental Association East by one game.

New York catcher Bob Scott contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a changeup to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 11th hit of the season and put the Imperials ahead, 2-0.

"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Scott. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
