| In 10, Cincinnati Sinks Toronto, 3-1 | Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Cincinnati Cannons and the Toronto Wolves. Cincinnati won it, 3-1, in 10 innings. Cincinnati starter Ike Hawley was in command. With the victory, the Cannons record stands at 48-64.
Cincinnati got a knockout punch from Bob Bell. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Hawley. "I think we showed that here."
