Cincinnati Cannons starter Wally Fields pitched a strong game against the New York Imperials at Dyckman Stadium, leading the Cannons to victory, 4-3. With the victory, the Cannons upped their record to 56-53.

Bob Bell, who finished 4th in the FA in wins above replacement with 7.1 in 1967, had a direct impact on the outcome. Bell contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Cincinnati up, 4-2.
