| Suns Pick Up 5-1 Win Against Detroit | Al Whitman never let the Dynamos get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Suns to a win, 5-1. Whitman, the winner, moves to 2-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 3 walks. The Federal Association West-leading Suns are 68-43.
