| Gothams Lose to Clippers, 6-1 | The Baltimore Clippers went home winners at Patapsco Field, thanks in large part to starter Chet Nash. Nash stifled the New York Gothams, enabling Baltimore to grab the 6-1 win. The winner was Nash. He threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Curtis Robinson. The third-place Clippers are now 50-59, the Gothams 51-59.
With Baltimore leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Nash hit a 2-run single off New York hurler Curtis Robinson. It was the 1st hit of the season for Nash and put his team ahead, 4-1.
"Chet just settled in and did what he does," said Baltimore manager Hank Luckenbaugh. | |
