| Dallas Bats Quiet in 6-1 Loss | The Dallas Wranglers had their hands full with Montreal Saints starter Duke Edin, who frustrated Dallas hitters while leading Montreal to a comfortable, 6-1 win. The winning pitcher was Edin, now 5-2. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 3. Montreal, now 21-35, holds down 9th place in the Continental Association.
Art Robbins had a big run-scoring double for the Saints in the bottom of the third inning. With Montreal leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from 27-year old right-handed pitcher Rex Conner and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 14th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Saints ahead, 2-0.
"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Edin.
