The New York Imperials went home winners at Dyckman Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Chief Williams. Williams stifled the Cincinnati Cannons, enabling New York to grab the 2-1 win. Williams picked up the win for New York, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 8-8. Andy Masson nailed down his 1st save.

Jim Smith had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for New York. He came through with a 2-run single to put New York in front, 2-1.
