The first-place Seattle Kings picked up another win.

The Seattle Kings blasted the Kansas City Mavericks, 14-1. Bob Glowacki was one of the hitting stars. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 times for Seattle. The winning pitcher was 27-year old right-handed pitcher John Howell. He tossed 97 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits.

Jesse Scott had a big bases-clearing double for the Kings in the bottom of the first inning. With Seattle leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Harry Kluth and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kings ahead, 4-0.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Bob Bendick.

The Kings have an impressive 74-35 record.
