| Chiefs Lose, 7-5, as Comets Rally | Chicago center fielder Bob Starr had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Starr was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, even as Houston beat the Chiefs, 7-5. Houston pitcher Al Bailey got the win. He's now 1-0. Jim Queen was tagged with the loss. Joe Barnes picked up his 3rd save of the season.
Houston went up, 7-5, on Frank Bailey's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Bailey hit in the bottom of the eighth, made Chicago pitcher Jim Queen grimace.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Houston manager Glenn Carney.
Houston has 3 straight wins, Chicago 3 straight losses.
