Sailors Win with Late Heroics | The San Francisco Sailors dealt the New York Imperials a 6-2 loss in 10 innings at Golden Gate Stadium. Herbert Crawford Jr. was the star on offense. He went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. San Francisco is now 58-45, New York 34-71.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Crawford Jr. hit a sinker from Russ Edwards for a grand slam home run. The Sailors, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"Always feels extra good winning this kind of game," said Crawford Jr.. | |
